Following our visit in December 2023, we are excited to share that a distinguished PERTAMINA University graduate has joined our team, representing the first time a candidate has been hired directly through a university visit collaboration between Daiki Axis Japan and Daiki Axis Indonesia.

Wira’s Academic Journey and Achievements

We hired a student who studied wastewater treatment plant design in college and is interested in our business, water treatment. He is an excellent student with knowledge of CAD, English, and water treatment and has been selected as the Best Student of PERTAMINA University. Muhammad Sutisna Bayu Wira Bumi, known as Wira, completed his education at SMAN Sumatra Selatan (Sampoerna Academy) with a scholarship from the South Sumatra government. During high school, Wira conducted a research project focused on “Simple Wastewater Treatment.”

Research Focus: Tackling Wastewater Treatment Challenges

Palembang, Wira’s hometown, is renowned for its Songket fabric. However, many artisans now use chemical dyes instead of natural ones. These artisans often do not treat the wastewater from the dyeing process and directly discharge it into the river, leading to pollution in the Musi River. He researched to reduce chemicals in wastewater from Songket dyeing, which also led to a growing interest in environmental engineering.

From Research to Opportunity: Wira’s Path to Daiki Axis Indonesia

When his research was published, Universitas PERTAMINA took an interest in his work. Consequently, Wira received an invitation and a scholarship from Universitas PERTAMINA to further his studies. At Universitas PERTAMINA, Wira learned about Daiki Axis Indonesia during a company visit to the university. His program coordinator offered students interested in the company the opportunity to apply. Wira seized this chance, began researching Daiki Axis Indonesia online, and eventually applied.

Wira’s Role at Daiki Axis Indonesia: Contributing to Environmental Solutions

Wira is now part of Daiki Axis Indonesia in the Office Engineering Division. He works as a staff drafter for design projects at Daiki Axis Indonesia. Wira hopes that by understanding basic design principles, he can implement the environmental engineering knowledge he gained during his studies into the projects undertaken by Daiki Axis Indonesia.

A Promising Future: Wira’s Commitment to Environmental Engineering

Wira’s journey demonstrates how dedication and hard work can open various opportunities. With a strong background in environmental research and technical education, Wira is ready to contribute to creating innovative solutions for the environmental challenges faced by the industry. We look forward to his continued success and will continue to cherish our relationship with Pertamina University.
